Deborah Fay Sheriff, 62 of Ashland passed away with dignity and grace after a courageous battle with cancer with her beloved daughters holding her hands, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
She was born August 11, 1952 in Battle Creek, MI to Charles "Slim" and Gladys "Pepper" {Perryman} Loftis.
She graduated from Ashland High School in 1970.
Debbie loved to fish, watch old movies and her television shows, go to auctions, play with and spoil her grandbabies, good barbecue and spending time with ALL of her family.
Debbie had formally worked for Surrey Inn, Lyn-Way and Archway Cookies. She especially loved all of her Archway family.
She is survived by the love of her life Steve Sheriff; their three precious daughters, Stacey (Clayton) Martin and Stephenie Sheriff (Andre Jones) both of Ashland and Sarah (Mike) DeAngel of Boardman; eight precious grandbabies, Kelcey, Kayleigh, Amayah, Aubrey, Adrianne, Alijah, Izayah Sheriff and Stephen Martin; Debbie was also thrilled for the arrival of her first great-grandbaby; father Charles "Slim" (Donna R.) Loftis of Mansfield: three sisters Diana "Kay" Marble of Ashland, Delinda "Pudgie" (Paul) Kennedy of Georgia, Dena (Jim) Chance of Ashland, one brother Charlie (Laurie) Loftis of Ashland; many nieces and nephews, and her "wiener dog" Odie.
She was proceded in death by her beloved mother Gladys "Pepper" Loftis, dear sister Donna "Donnie" Loftis, paternal Grandparents William "Pa" and Wilma "Ma" Loftis, Bunk and Jessie Perryman and her "wiener dog" Ozzie.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Kennedy officiating. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
