Denise Lorraine Hurst

Denise L. Hurst, 68, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday May 20th, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital, in Newark OH.
Denise was born December 30, 1954, in Washington Indiana to Robert and Joyce {Bruno} Hurst. 
She retired from Kroger’s as a baker. She was a compassionate caregiver for her own parents.  She enjoyed traveling with Friends and family to Hilton Head Island and Las Vegas.  She was very talented as a cake decorator. She loved spending time with her grandkids.  She volunteered for many years as a Secretary for Mt Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Elementary. 
Denise will be deeply missed by her daughters; Tracy Lorraine Smith and Andrea McKay; grandchildren Dominic, Chase, Miles, James and Nathaniel; great-grandchildren Jayson, Kloe and Noah; brothers Carl (Theresa) Hurst and Robert Hurst.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Samantha Perry and her sister Pamela Knox.
