Dennis Albert Kratzer

Dennis Albert Kratzer, 79, of Rittman, died Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Home, in Rittman.

Denny was born October 1, 1943 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Merle Albert and Selma “Annabelle”{Winkler} Kratzer.

He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1961. Denny worked for the Ohio Turnpike Commission before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ.

Denny enjoyed hosting NASCAR race parties and going to races with the “Are We There Yet” racing group. He loved to spend time with his family and coloring with his grandchildren. He enjoyed the family vacations he planned so everyone could be together. He was a NASCAR fan and lifelong Cleveland Browns’ fan. He was a foster parent for cats and kittens with Save Ohio Strays for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed doing puzzles and Legos and went on many cruises with his wife Doris.

Denny will be deeply missed by his wife, Doris  (Giroux) who he married in 2017, children Deanna (Denny) Shofner of TX, Michele (Tim) Coleman of Colorado, Laura (Tim) Davis of Ohio, and Melanie (Patrick) Wiesepape of TX; 8 grandchildren; and sister Mila Karm of Akron.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
