Diane Bennett Blizzard, 71, of Parkersburg, joined her loved ones in Heaven September 27, 2018 at her family’s home in Williamstown.
Diane was born November 19, 1946 in Philippi, West Virginia to Van L. and Louise {Burner} Bennett.
She graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek, WV.
She married Allan Blizzard on December 31, 1973.
Diane was a dispatcher for the West Virginia State Police in Elkins, WV for 20 years. She was a committed Christian and a member of the Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene. Recently, she has attended the Gospel Tabernacle located in Parkersburg. Since 1978, she was the lead singer of The King’s Kids gospel ministries. While singing with The King’s Kids, she traveled extensively throughout the Eastern United States. She was also a talented artist with paintings sold across the United States.
Diane will be deeply missed by her husband Allan; sister Sondra and Sondra’s husband Bob Kniley as well as all who knew and loved her. Also surviving is her aunt Betty (Norman) Harvey and several cousins.
Diane was preceded in death by her mother and father.
At her request, private funeral and burial services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park.
