Don Harley

Don R. Harley, 76, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at West View Healthy Living after a period of declining health.

Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Grace Church with Pastors Randy Moomaw and Kirk Fairhurst officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Private burial will be at Burbank Cemetery. Don was born October 3, 1941 in Wooster to Ralph and Alice {Frary} Harley.

Don graduated from Norwayne High School in 1959, where he was active in FFA, band, and chorus.  He married Maryanna Lawton on October 5, 1962.

He worked from an early age with his father in Harley Drilling; continuing the family tradition working with his sons.  He was an active member of Grace Church, serving as trustee and on the official Board.  He was a member of the Ohio Water Well Association where he served as President for several years.  Don was a member of the National Water Well Association and the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.  He enjoyed pitching softball for Burbank and Wooster GBC teams. Don also enjoyed Hymns and southern gospel music and vacationing with his family on Fripp Island.

Don will be deeply missed by his wife Maryanna; children Bob (Linda) of Lodi, Steve (Marla), Tim (Jeana), and Jeff (Jennifer) Harley all of Burbank; grandchildren Tiffany and Reed (Kelly) Harley, Tyler and Kendall Yuhas, Josh, Brent, Tyler, and Nathan Harley, Valerie (Brandon) Cole, and Zacary Harley, Alex (Matt) Malanga, and Kendra Harley; great-grandchildren Kinsley and Rhett;

Don was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law Rachel Troup.
