Donald Aber

Donald C. Aber, 94, of Wooster, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.

Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Rich Samide officiating. Don was born March 28, 1925 in Funk, Ohio to Clark F. and Florence Faye {Otto} Aber.

He graduated from Wooster High School and then Kent State in 1953 with an Accounting Degree. Don served in the US Army during WWII.

He married Frances L. Smith on September 20, 1955.  She died December 3, 1986.

Don retired from Lockhead Corp. after many years. He was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68 for 75 years as a past Commander and Adjutant, Elks, Am Vets 250 and Knights of Columbus. He was honored to perform military honors at veterans services with the American Legion and the 555th Honors Detachment.

Don will be deeply missed by daughter Reba Braden of Wooster; grandchildren Melissa and Amber Braden, Tyler and Austin Bernardy, Shawn and Renee Aber; great-grandchildren Haylee Braden; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Dolores Moats.

Don was preceded in death by his children Larry Aber and Ava Bernardy, and brothers Hale and John Aber.
