Donald G. Potter, 93, of Orrville, died Saturday, February 09, 2013 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital, in Orrville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Buchwalter officiating. Donald was born March 18, 1919 in Kenmore, Ohio to Louis L. and Edna E. {Groves} Potter. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Edith Corrine Nussbaum on July 8, 1955. She died January 31, 2013.
Donald was a union carpenter working mostly in Northeast Ohio. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed stamp collecting, woodworking, camping, gardening, and traveling. Donald was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville.
He will be deeply missed his children Denise (Kevin) Wyler of Smithville, Lenore (Steve) Simons of Lexington, KY; grandchildren Benjamin (Jessie) Wyler, Robert (Amanda) Wyler, Callissa Simons, and Isaac Simons.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Edith, and a brother William.
