Donna Jean Cosmar

On Saturday, August 5, 2023 Donna Cosmar (age 94) slipped from this earth to the next after a brief decline.  She was born in Salineville, Ohio the oldest of two daughters born to Edward and Hazel (Wilson) Smith on November 13, 1928.  Her sister, Gilma Faye Bartholow, along with her parents are deceased.

Donna was a 1946 graduate of Coshocton High School and was employed in the office of Shaw Barton.  After the birth of her three daughters, she was a stay at home mom for most of their childhood.  She returned to Shaw Barton and after her retirement she and her second husband, Ernest "Turk" Cosmar, moved to sunny Florida.  Turk passed in 1993 and Donna continued to enjoy her golden years in Florida.  She made lots of great friends, enjoyed playing lots of games, and would deliver customers' Avon on her golf cart.  In 2016 she relocated to Arabi, LA to be closer to family.

She will be deeply missed by her three daughters:  Doreen (Tom) Lightner of New Philadelphia, OH; Dawn (Ernie) Morris of Arabi, LA; Danielle Miller of Coshocton and her granddaughter Stephanie (Dusty Mullins) Wallace of Stone Creek, OH.  She is also survived by step-granddaughters: Heather (Nathan) Jarvis of Coshocton, OH and Kate (Luke) Ashwood of Austin, TX.  Also sharing in our loss are brother-in-law D. Frank Bartholow of Mansfield, OH; nieces Diana (Phil) Naumoff and Marna Wheaton; nephews David Bartholow and Merrell (Margie) Miller.

A private grave side service will be held at a later date with interment in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
