Donna Gilkey

Donna J. Gilkey 93, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024.  She was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1930, to the late D. Duran and Clara Wescoat Hause.  She married Harry A. (Bud) Gilkey on December 16, 1949, who pre-deceased her on January 1, 2002. Donna was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church, Wooster.  

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Gilkey, Wooster, and Norman (Mary Lee) Gilkey, Pikesville, Maryland. A third son, Brad (Jane-Columbia, South Carolina) Gilkey, died on March 1, 1999; grandchildren, Martha (Stephen) Lea, Columbia, South Carolina, Rebecca Marty, Tacoma, Washington, Adrianne (Raghuveer) Vallabhaneni, Clarksville, Maryland, Alexandria (Philip) Perry, Towson, Maryland, and Aaron Gilkey, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; six great-grandchildren, Brad and Rebecca Cook, Nina and Nora Vallabhaneni, Jack and Reid Perry, and two step-great-grandchildren Clayson and Austin.   She is also survived by three brothers, Bruce, Edwin and Wayne (Peggy) Hause and brother-in-law Robert Gilkey and nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by a sister, Betty Ames, a brother, Danny Hause, sisters-in-law Sandy Hause, Betty Hause, Joan Fennell and Eleen Gilkey and brothers-in-law John Ames and Harmon Fennell.  

At Donna’s request, arrangements are private and are being handled by Roberts Funeral Home, Wooster. Friends and family may leave tributes and memories at robertsfuneralhome.com. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. The family extends a special thanks to The Avenue and Smithville Western Care Center for their loving care of Donna.
