Donna Sue Parks

Donna Sue Parks, 95, of Marietta, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Sue was born July 2, 1928 in Canton, Ohio to Kenneth and Mildred (Hill) Ball.

She graduated from Marietta High School in 1946. 

Sue married Sheldon Parks on September 30, 1946.  

Sue enjoyed singing and was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s. She was also a member of the Marietta Art Club and enjoyed painting, sculpting and crocheting. She was also a longtime volunteer at Marietta Memorial Hospital. 

Sue will be deeply missed by her children Jill Parks Huffman of Marietta, Steven (Becky) Parks of Grover Beach, CA and Jason (Tracey) Parks of Mason, OH; grandchildren Sean Parks, Todd Parks, Brian Parks, Molly Wimer, Jared Huffman, Melissa Boulton, Morgan Parks and Andrew Parks; great grandchildren Jarrett Parks, Addison Parks, Joshua Huffman, Whyatt Parks, Haley Parks, Hunter Parks, Brady Boulton, Benjamin Boulton, Theodore Boulton and Kinsley Parks; great-great grandson Wyatt Huffman; stepbrother Gordon Ren Hoff.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Ball, mother Mildred Hoff, stepfather Gordon Hoff, sister Bonita Emery; sons Robin Lee Parks and Kevin Daniel Parks. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and 2 West at Marietta Memorial for their excellent care and kindness.

Friends may call Saturday from 11 AM until 1 PM at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Cheryl Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com
