Doris E. Elkins, 66, of Wooster, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wooster Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00pm at the church with Pastor Ron Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Doris was born June 4, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia to Bolt and Ettie {Priest} Adams.
She married James on January 11, 1973.
Doris was a caregiver and enjoyed taking care of the elderly. She attended the Church of the Nazarene. She also enjoyed praying for those in need and sharing her love for the Lord. Doris loved to sing and read her bible. She really enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Doris will be deeply missed by her husband; daughters Sabrina (Bob) McFadden, Jeanetta (Doug) Hahn, Regina Elkins, Jamie (Martin) Cooper and son Roger (Loretta) Dingess; grandchildren Rachel, Andrew, Gwen, Nathan, Baylie, Adam, Austin, Corben, Taylor, Davis, Sydney, Sophie, and Daniel; great-grandchildren Zander, Zailynn and Reagan; brother Charles (Karen) Adams; sisters Cricket (John) Anshutz, Barbara Keys, Micki (Ron) Lehr, Sadie (Jim) Brantley, Marge McNeely, Dreama Davis, Shelly (Jason) Schafer.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by sisters Aileen Miller, Pauline Bishop, Christine Rothman, Wanda Dingess and Patricia Bryant, brothers Abe Adams and Scott Adams, grandchild Matthew and great-grandchild Xavier.
