Doris P. Scheibe, 89, of Wooster, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Horn Nursing Center.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 3 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Doris was born May 17, 1924 in Shreve to Milton R. and Lola M. {McKee} Gilbert.
She married George Scheibe on August 3, 1945. He died on December 7, 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jeromesville Christian Church. She liked working crossword puzzles, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and cats.
Doris will be deeply missed by her children Diana (Butch) Sigler of Wooster, Denise (Jim) Belcher of Ashland, Randy (Linda) Scheibe of Orrville; grandchildren Lynda (Clyde) Benner Jr., Jamie Belcher, and Jeremy Sigler; great-grandchildren Mackenzy and Jillian Belcher, and Samantha Benner; step-children Sandy (Reburn) Lewis of Virginia Beach, VA, Nancy (Terry) Ladrach of Millersburg, and Matthew (Angel) Sigler of Wooster; step-grandchildren Kristin, Amber, Adam, and Aimie, and Sara; step-great-grandson CJ; sister Ruth (Bud) Fisher of Fredericksburg; brother-in-law Garland Scheibe; numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and a sister.
