Doris Slaughter

Doris Slaughter, 86, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 4, 2022, Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Doris was born January 14, 1935, in Kentucky to Hobert and Frances {Burden} Daugherty.

She married Deward Conner. He died in 1956.  She then married Max Slaughter on December 20, 1974. He survives.

Most of her adult life Doris was a homemaker.  She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Orrville.  Doris enjoyed gardening and bird watching.  Doris enjoyed attending her church and sharing her faith.

Doris will be deeply missed by her husband, Max; children Ruth (Mark) Lemon of North Canton, Debbie (Joe) Dalessandro of Shreve, Mike (Jennifer) Conner of Colorado, Cindy (David) Butler and Russ (Donna) Slaughter all of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson; and a sister Hilda Smith of Texas, nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her first husband, Deward, brother Paul and sisters Wilma, Carol, Carolyn.
