Dorothy L. Hendrix, 84, of Apple Creek, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Aultman Hospital, in Canton.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to in lieu of flowers to Waynedale Wrestling, 9048 Dover Rd, Apple Creek Ohio, 44606.
Dorothy was born December 17, 1929 in Morgantown, Kentucky to Roy C. and Elnora {Flener} Durham.
She married James Hendrix on November 29, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her children, Jean (Stub) Hastings of Ashland, Judy (Bernie) Harter of Applecreek, Susan (John) Barker of Applecreek; 8 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson; brother Donald Durham of Mississippi; sister Jo Ann Dye of Wooster.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, son Mike Hendrix; brothers Odell, RG Durham and Bobby Durham; and sister Geneva Butler.
