Dorothy Jean Sharp, age 86, of Marietta, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 19, 1929 in Concordia, Kansas to John L. Sweeney and Leah Ida Martin Sweeney. Dorothy attended El Dorado High School and graduated in 1948. She married James O. Sharp on August 25, 1949. Dorothy was a very devoted mother. She enjoyed family, fishing and nature, especially red birds. She moved to Ohio in 1967. She was a longtime resident of the Arbors at Marietta.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Steven R. Sharp and Craig A. Sharp of Marietta, OH; her sister Rita Austin of El Dorado; and two nephews in El Dorado.
She was preceded in death by her mom, husband, brother Charles, and her dad. She will be very much missed.
Funeral service will be Monday, September 28 at 2 PM at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta.
