Dorothy Sine

Dorothy E. Sine, 87, formerly of Wooster, died May 1, 2024, at Park Village Health Care Center, in New Philadelphia.

Dorothy was born November 8, 1936, in Steubenville, Ohio to Joseph and Addie Mae {Piddock} Lockhart.

She married George M. Sine on May 8, 1970. They shared 49 years together before his passing in 2019.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, an avid reader, crafter and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her niece, Mary Jo Fisher; son Michael (Donna) Sine; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; sisters Nancy Humes and Joan (Harry) Vasich; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, George, beloved daughter Lisa Kay Sine and sisters, Norma Bateman, Jean Duboy, Wanda Sindlinger and Phyllis Lathem. 

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Ralph Stewart officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
