Dorothy K. Stephens, 91, of Wooster died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Wooster Community Hospital. Services will be Monday at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home –Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Arnold Kaufman officiating.Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.Friends may call Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .

Kathryn was born May 19, 1917 in Bellfontaine, Ohio to Lester and Mural (Davis) Parker.


She married Kenneth Berry Feb. 22, 1934.He died Jan. 1, 1970.They had 5 children before separating.She was married to Paul Stephens in 1941 until 1968.


She was a member of the First Church of God in Wooster and worked at J C Penney’s in Ashland retiring after 22 years of service.She also volunteered for the food bank, Red Cross and United Brethren Church.


Kathryn will be deeply missed by her children Phyllis J. Shane of Wooster, Barbara E. (Derrell) Marical of Guthrie, Ok, Connie (Chuck) Kentz of Bucyrus, Ohio and Richard (Clova) Berry of Kansas, 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, sisters Donna May Beckham of Huntsville, Ohio, Virginia Hatfield and Carolyn Kaiser both of Bellfontaine and sister-in-law Helen Parker.


She was preceded by a son David Berry, a grandson Von C. Shane, a brother Lester C. Parker and sisters Roberta Berry and Waneta Shields.
