Dorsey V. Sears, 88, of Wadsworth, died Sunday July 21, 2013 at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
Dorsey was born July 18, 1925 in Nicut, West Virginia to Clay and Seretha {King} Sears.
Dorsey served in the US Army in WWII.
He married Mary Napolitano in October 28, 1950.
Dorsey owned Main TV repair shop, worked as a machinist at Conval, and retired from Valley City. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. He was previous Governor of the Wadsworth Moose and was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dorsey will be deeply missed by children Wanda (Clyde) Simon of Wadsworth, Linda (John) Lang of Norton; grandchildren Greg and Michelle Simon; great-grandchildren Ane, Rayghen, Joe; brother Delbert (Jean) Sears of W.V.; sisters Mary Ekin of Springfield, Olena Pyle of Wadsworth, and Deloras Church of Utica.
Dorsey was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leslie and Darius Sears.
Friends may call Wednesday from 12 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home, 9560 Acme rd. Seville, OH 44273 to help defray funeral expenses.
