Dottie Lou Jenkins, 75, of Ashland, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Trident Medical, in North Charleston, SC.
Services will be Thursday at 4 pm at the Ashland Worship Center with Pastor Ted Mason officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
Dottie was born August 20, 1941 in Huntington, WV to Lindsey and Readie {Gibbs} Cole.
She worked for Hawkins Market for many years, retiring as the produce manager. She attended the Ashland Worship Center and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Dottie will be deeply missed by her children James (Patricia) Helms of N. Charleston, SC, Timothy (Amy) Helms of Savannah; grandchildren Josh, Lindsey, Nicolas, Ashleigh, Danielle, Mackenzie, Leland, and baby Silas; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Bonnie Knowlton of Ashland.
Dottie was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Cole, Lindsey Cole Jr., Jack Cole, and Ervin Cole; sisters, Alma Blades, Hilquet Lewis, and Donna Schmidt.
