Obituary
Dr. Pedro "Peter" J. Aragon, 84, of Wadsworth, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at The Avenue at Medina.
Peter was born March 26, 1932 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Peter earned his PhD in Physics and Chemistry from University of Missouri in Rolla, MO. He was an assistant teacher at Clemson University in SC. Peter was honored as the founder of the Electro-Chemistry Lab at the Universidad de Los Andes, in Merida, Venezuela.
He married Lynn Ruth Daugherty in 1983. She died in 2009.
Peter worked for PPG Industries as a research chemist for 8 years. He was a devoted pilot and airman, flying for 60 years. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and was a 32nd degree Mason among many other accomplishments.
Peter will be deeply missed by his children Ariadna Aragon, Maria Alejandra Aragon, and Juan Manuel (Graciela) Aragon all of Argentina, Monica (Paul) Damm of McDonough, GA; Martin (Carina) Aragon of Garfield Heights; 9 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and special friend Mary Ann Wein of Wadsworth.
Step-children John Gillette, Karen (Bill) Allen, Keith (Crystal) Gillette, Susan (Karl) Meer and 9 step-grandchildren.
Pedro was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn D. and a brother Juan Pablo Aragon.
Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Rd., Wadsworth. Services will follow at noon. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
