Dudley Brooks

Dudley Brooks, 70, of Marietta, died January 30, 2019 at his home.

Dudley was born May 30, 1948 in New Matamoras to Gerald and Dorothy {Binegar} Brooks.

He married Rosemary Miller on August 14, 1967.

He worked for Elston Lumber and Donald Morris Lumber for many years. He attended Tunnel United Methodist Church. Dudley enjoyed his grandchildren, tinkering with his cars, sitting on the porch watching the traffic, and gardening.

Dudley will be deeply missed by his wife Rosemary; children James Brooks, Bryan (Rhonda) Brooks and Renee (Mark) Rader; grandchildren Aaron, Steven (Isis) and Amanda Brooks, Jaden, Jensen Brooks and Kinzie Dunbar; great-grandchildren Scarlet Jeffers, Iris and Willow Brooks; sister Wanda (Pat) Offenberger; and his dog Ralph and his cat Jack.

Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Thelma Bookman, Helen Nolan and Lillian Schultheisz; brothers-in-law Ronnie Gilchrist, Donn Bookman and Mark Schultheisz.

Friends may call Friday February 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Thomas officiating.  Burial will be at Tunnel Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel United Methodist Church .
