Earl Fay Keener, 86, of Ashland, died Monday, May 16, 2016 at Good Shepherd.
Earl was born February 6, 1930 in Ashland, Ohio to Orra Allen and Evelyn Faye {Brockway} Keener.
Earl was a member of the Maple Grove Church for 72 years. He was employed at the National Latex Company for over forty years before he retired, and did handy man work on the side. In his earlier years, he helped deliver milk to homes. Earl was involved with the Garden Tractor Pull for many years. His tools were very important to him.
Earl will be deeply missed by his children Christine (Michael)Smith of Jeromesville, Connie (Henry) Lamp of Lexington, Gene (Lynne) Keener of Davidson, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brothers Carl (Pam) Keener of LA, Leon (Rita) Keener of Wooster, Daniel (Betty) Keener of Ashland; sisters Annabelle (George) Kettering and Velma (Vernon) Gilmore both of Ashland, Donna (Daniel) Kettering of Polk , Wanda Caudill of Mansfield.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son Earl Spencer.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Ballinger.
