Earl Kenneth Kovacs

Earl Kenneth Kovacs, 79, of Wadsworth, died October 22, 2024 at Summa Health Wadsworth-Rittman Medical Center in Wadsworth.

Earl was born September 22, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to Jasper S. and Betty J. {Sax} Kovacs.

Earl went to Wadsworth High School. He then served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1964 to 1966.

He married Deborah Haldiman on June 18, 1966. 

Earl spent 12 years at Admiral Machine before moving on to Goodyear Tire & Rubber, where he worked for 25 years before retiring. He attended Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Earl enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and gardening. He loved spending time with family.

Earl will be deeply missed by his wife Deborah; sons Earl II (Amy) Kovacs of Wadsworth and Matthew (Kristi) Kovacs of Smithville; grandchildren Matthew, Emily, and Elizabeth Kovacs; brother Steve (Linda) Kovacs of Las Vegas; sister Debbie (Rick) Nee of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Jackie (Delbert) Nye of Madison.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Tuesday October 29 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, funeral services will follow at 2 at (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Earl-Kovacs) with Pastor Karen Liddy officiating.
