Earnest Lockhart, 71, died unexpectedly, Monday February 25, 2013 at his residence, in Cleveland, Georgia.
Friends may call Friday March 1st. from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 11::00 a.m. on Saturday March 2nd at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Peppler officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Earnest was born September 20th 1941 in Sinks Grove, WV, to Clarence and Margie {Hooper} Lockhart.
Earnest graduated from Wooster high school in 1960.
He married Gloria Beichler on June 29, 1963.
Earnest worked at Volvo for 32 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Demerst Church of God in Georgia. Earnest enjoyed golfing, bowling, softball and camping. He loved spending time with his family.
Earnest will be deeply missed by his sons Rick (Amy) Lockhart of Orrville and Gary (Rachel) Lockhart of Wooster; grandchildren Cortney, Brandon, Matthew and Katie Lockhart and Mason Steiner; Brothers; Dexter (Marina) Lockhart of Georgia; sisters: Kathleen (Wando)Legg of Virginia Diana(David) Peppler of Virginia; special friend Linda Brake of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earnest was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister Jean Rae Porter.
