Edith Ann Dyke Tisher, age 90, of Seville, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville.
She was born November 18, 1922 to John and Alice (Gage) Dyke. Edith loved to take care of her little lambs on her parent's farm in Seville. On August 7, 1945 she married Glen Austin Tisher, a newly released pilot of World War II. The family still has all of the love letters she wrote to Glen for three long years.
Edith graduated from Seville High School in 1940, plus Business College in Akron. She worked at The Rittman Boxboard as well as Weaver Oil Company for several years. Edith attended Jerusalem Lutheran Church, was the church treasurer, and she attended the Adult Sunday School with many of her friends for many years. She enjoyed traveling both in and out of the country with her husband as well.
Edith is survived by her son Ron Tisher of Canton; daughter-in-law Melody Tisher of Wadsworth; granddaughters Molly and Kate, great-grand children Ali and Aiden Musgrave and various other members also complete her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen and son John.
A private family service has taken place at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville with the Rev. Dr. Edward E. Kropa, Jr. officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville.
