Edward "Eddie" G. Armbrust, 88, of Creston, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Autumnwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rittman.
Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Monday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Heil officiating. Eddie was born June 28, 1925 in Sugar Creek to Daniel and Iva {Hostettler} Armbrust. He served in the US Army in the European Theater during WWII.
Eddie married Leona Truex on July 18, 1946. They were married 67 years.
Eddie worked for PCA in Rittman for 44 years, retiring in 1987.
Eddie enjoyed sports, fishing, woodworking, collecting knickknacks, traveling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Eddie will be deeply missed by his wife Leona; children Marvin (Shirley) Armbrust of Wadsworth, Glenda Cottrell of Rittman, Edward (Diane) Armbrust of Wooster, Brenda (Paul) Lambert of Rittman, Bryan (Sonya) Armbrust of Burbank; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother Francis (Elizabeth) Armbrust of Doylestown.
Eddie was preceded in death by his grandson Robert, siblings Ray, Grace, Palmer, Carl, Mary Ann, Vera, Lucille, Pauline, and Bernice.
