Elizabeth Miller

Elizabeth Jordan Miller passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Elizabeth was born March 29, 1922 in Wayne County, the daughter of Clarence and Leona (Muck) Jordan. She spent most of her life in Ashland, Ohio. She had been a member of the Sarah Copus Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Member of the Ashland and Lake Counties Chapters of the Ohio Genealogic al Society, Member of the Historical Societies of Mifflin and Juniata Counties in Pennsylvania and Braxton County West Virginia. For many years was a member of the Mansfield China Painters club and the World Organization of China Painters. Elizabeth was an artist most of her life and spent many years researching the genealogy of the Jordan and Miller families. She enjoyed being the Jordan family historian.

On August 17, 1946 Elizabeth married Thomas M. Miller and is survived by their children, sons Larry E. Miller of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Thomas Michael Miller (Jana) of Ashland, Daughters Christine Watson (Billy) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and Rebecca (Charles) Doland of Leesburg, Virginia. Three grandchildren, Carrie McMahon of Springfield, Tennessee, Charles Roberts (Jessica) of Houston, Texas and Laura Sanchez (Chris) of Roport, Texas. Seven great grandchildren, Thomas Roberts, of Houston Texas, Bryson, Garrett, Shelby, McMahon and Cadance Dell of Springfield, Tennessee, Shellye (Richard) Talbert, and Tanner Moody of Mississippi. Three great, great granddaughters Trinity, Briley and Landry Talbert of Mississippi. Preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, two sister, and a grandson.

Private graveside services will be held at Ashland County Memorial Park at a later date. Roberts Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
