Ella Mae Stringfield, 70, of Wadsworth, died Wednesday, June 07, 2017 at Hospice of Medina.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael R. Decker officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County at 5075 Windfall Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
Ella was born April 4, 1947 in Chillicothe to James E. and Buehla E. {Greathouse} Jones.
She married Alton Stringfield on October 9, 1965. He survives.
Ella retired from Giant Eagle after 20 years. She was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Wadsworth. Ella enjoyed shopping and gardening, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Ella will be deeply missed by her husband of 52 years; children Terie Michelle Davis of Wadsworth, Wyvonnia "Kay" (David) Knight of Barberton and Alton "A.J." Stringfield Jr. of Wadsworth; grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Bryan, Alexis, Natalia, Matthew, Tony, Haley, Ray and Savanaha; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers Danny, Darrell, Calvin and Gregory Jones; sisters Norma (Jerry) Long, Iretta (Daniel) Mays and Karen (Ray) Holly
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, son Matthew Stringfield, brothers Richard and James Jones, and sister Debbie Bounce.
