Elmer Devon Reed, 82, of Beach City, died Friday April 28, 2017 at Altercare of Navarre Center.
Elmer was born March 7, 1935 in Westover, PA to William and Violet Mae Reed.
He served in the United States Navy.
Elmer married Eunice Young on May 7, 1959.
He retired from Barberton Hospital. Elmer was a member of the Brewster Baptist Church. He loved fishing, bingo and playing card games.
Elmer will be deeply missed by his sons Stanley Devon (Debra) of Massillon and Steven Jon (Debbie) Reed of Beach City; grandchildren Katie Lynn, Jon, Ashley, Wes Harvey, Dan and Steve Vargo; great-grandchildren Ridleigh; brothers Bud, Charley, and Sam.
Elmer was preceded in death by his wife Eunice, brothers Otto and Gene, sisters Edith, June, Clara, and Phyllis.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
