Elsie Moore, 97, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Lexington Court Care Center, in Lexington.

Elsie was born February 18, 1927 in Dana, Kentucky to Sie and Kate {Hamilton} Hamilton.

She married Allen Moore on September 13, 1947. He died previously.

Elsie worked for the Ashland City Schools until retirement at 70 years of age. She was a faithful member of the Steele Avenue Church of Christ, and most recently attended the North End Church of Christ. 

Elsie will be deeply missed by her sons Nick (Peggy) Moore of Findlay, Britt Moore of Ashland; daughter-in-law Darlene Moore of Ashland; grandchildren Christopher (Meghan) Moore, Jessica (Timothy) Thibodeau; great-grandchildren Elliana, Micah and Molly Thibodeau.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, son Paul Douglas Moore, grandson Jared Moore, and brother Bill Hamilton.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
