Eric Marshall, 55, of Ashland, died Tuesday, August 11 at his residence from a short illness, in Ashland.
Eric was born July 16, 1960 in Youngstown, Ohio to Neil W. and Dorothy J. {VanCure} Marshall.
Eric graduated from Ashland High School in 1978 and attended Akron University. He worked at Custom Hoists for 31 years as a machinist. Eric was a member of the Ashland Eagles Aerie 2178. He was also a member of the Air National Guard at Mansfield from 1981 to 1987 where he was trained as a fire-fighter.
He married Janet Buckingham on June 9, 1984.
Eric will be deeply missed by his wife; son Logan (Hayley Gibson); Mother Dorothy Yanney (Bill) of Beavercreek, Ohio; brothers Scott of Alberqueque, New Mexico, Jeff (Cathy) of North Canton, and Gary (Kaye) of Ashland; sister Sharon of Columbus; Nieces and Nephews Jeff, Heidi, Jason, Trent, Seth, Dustin, Amber; sister-in-law Robin Stafford.
Eric was preceded in death by his father Neil.
Friends may call Sunday August 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will be immediately following at 4:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Tim McCollum officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central 1050 Dauch Dr. Ashland, Ohio 44805.
