Erma (Carol) McMullen, 70, of Wooster, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.

Carol was born May 27, 1942 in New Roads, LA to Roland and Ruth {Powell} Pancost. She graduated from Mohawk High School and from Kent State University in 1963 with a Bachelor Degree in home economics.
She married Wayne McMullen on October 14, 1967. He survives.
She was the food service instructor at LCJVS in Oberlin for over 20 years. She was a member of the Cleveland Culinary Association where she was named "Chef Educator". Prior to moving to Wooster, Carol lived in Elyria for 25 years and was a member of the Pilgrim UCC and later Washington Ave. Christian Church. She was a member of the Jeromesville Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved to travel, work crossword puzzles, quilting, and sing in the church choir. She loved swimming at the YMCA when she was able and researching on the computer; she believed in learning something new every day. She enjoyed spending time with the Escapees RV Club and sharing in her daughter's life.
Carol will be deeply missed by her husband Wayne, daughter Jennifer McMullen of Wooster; brother Jon (Larry) Pancost of Dublin, OH; sisters Janet (Ralph) Widman of Lynchburg, OH and Lois (James) Charles of Rochester, NH
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
