Esther Ilene McCormic, 86, of Ashland, died January 2, 2016 at Lutheran Village Assisted Living.
Esther was born April 3, 1929 in Medina to Arleigh Lester and Mabel Belle {Weltmer} Cooper.
She married George "Bob" McCormic on March 1, 1947.
Esther retired from National Latex as an assistant personnel manager. She was a member of First Christian Church of Ashland. Esther was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and National Latex Retirees.
Esther will be deeply missed by her husband Bob of 68 years; children Michael E. McCormic of Ashland and Kathy (Hal) Harper of Powell; grandchildren Eddie (Katy) McCormic of Arvada, CO, Zachary McCormic of Bel Air, MD, Quinn McCormic of Stuttgart, Germany, Melissa McCormic of Jersey City, NJ, Hillary (Jason) Spencer of Powell, Drew Harper of Gold Beach, OR, Sean McCormic of Sycamore, IL, Patrick McCormic of Los Angeles, CA, and Erin McCormic of Hillsdale, New South Wales, Australia; great-grandchildren Braydon and Lily Spencer, Bobby and Maggie McCormic; brothers Arleigh (Loretta) Cooper Jr. of Ashland and Raymond (Betty Jo) Cooper of Lucas; sister Beverly (David) Berry of West Salem.
Esther was preceded in death by her sons George E. McCormic and Robert L. McCormic, a brother Kenneth Cooper and a sister Betty Anderson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church at 1425 King Rd., Ashland, OH 44805 with Rev. David Zerby officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio at 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, OH 44805 or First Christian Church at 1425 King Rd., Ashland, OH 44805.
