Evelyn Rowland, 88, of Wooster, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Doylestown Healthcare.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will begin at 3 pm following the visitation with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Evelyn was born June 3, 1929 in Wooster to Floyd and Dorthea {Franks} Spigelmire.
She married Howard F. Rowland on July 10, 1949. He died June 11, 2003.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Wooster. She had been a member of the Overton Saddle Club. Evelyn enjoyed camping and boating with her husband, gardening, flowers, and watching her grandchildren.
Evelyn will be deeply missed by her children Steven (Deb) and David (Deb) Rowland, all of Wooster, and Keith (Sue) Rowland of Orrville; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law JoAnn Alysworth of Wooster and Oma Spigelmire of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Howard, brothers Larry and John Spigelmire.
