Filmore Wayne Vaughan, 74, of Orrville, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice, surrounded by his family.
Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home where military rites will be held, and with Pastor Zach Swift officiating. Wayne was born September 17, 1945 in Charleston, WV to Dallas and Elva {Elswick} Vaughan.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Wayne worked for the city of St. Albans, WV. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, go-kart racing, being outdoors, including riding four wheelers, and spending time with family and friends. Wayne also enjoyed donating his time with the Fredericksburg Legion helping place flags. He had a personality that was magnetic and would make friends everywhere he went.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his children Roxanne James of Wooster, Wayne Vaughan of Fredericksburg, Tiffany (Aaron) Stefanko of Akron; grandchildren Ephrem Stefanko; sisters Linda (Paul) Gaughan, and Kathy (Jimmy) Cottrill; sister-in-law Wilma Vaughan.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marshall Kent.
