Floyd Dunn

Floyd Norman Dunn, 76, of New Matamoras, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born March 24, 1941 in New Matamoras to the late Amon and Iva Dunn.

He attended New Matamoras High School and went on to work construction for Local Union 639.

He was an ordained minister in the Open Bible Ministry, and was privileged to baptize brothers and sisters in Christ. Floyd enjoyed officiating the weddings of family and friends. He was a mighty man of God who was a guiding light to many throughout his life. He never met a stranger and never failed to offer prayer for anyone in need. He was strong in his faith, gentle with others and always showed unconditional love.

Floyd will be deeply missed by his children Norman and Timothy Dunn; grandchildren Jason (Becca) Lanning, Brent (Heather) Dunn, Timothy (Beth) Pethtel, Veronica (Jeremy) Wolfe, TJ (Natalie) Wells, Meranda (Seth) Murphy, Whitney Wells, Meriah Dunn, Merlea Dunn; many great-grandchildren; his sweetheart and partner Mary Seffens; and several brothers and sisters.

In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his true love and wife of 41 years Linda Carol Dunn; his beloved granddaughter Victoria Dunn and five brothers.

Visitation will be Sunday October 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Monday at 1 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be at New Matamoras Cemetery.
