Foster Rose, 77, of Orrville, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, in Orrville surrounded by his loving family by his side.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Watts officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Foster was born January 17, 1937 in Ashcamp, KY to Jimmie and Lora (Bartley) Rose.
He married Sally Eberle on July 5, 1963. She survives.
He retired from Will-Burt Company in Orrville after 42 years. He also was a bus driver for the Orrville City Schools for over 30 years. He attended Good News United Baptist Church in Orrville. Foster enjoyed working on small engines, bee keeping, gardening, attending auctions and flea markets. He collected guns, knives, clocks, antique cars and was a member of the Massillon Area Car Club.
Foster will be deeply missed by his wife Sally of 50 years; children Vicky (Mark) Horner of Columbus, Jack (Rhonda) Rose of Orrville, Lora McMullin of Macon, GA, Alma Rose of Orrville; grandchildren Jacki Weygandt, Jennifer (Ben) Burge, Foster (Sabrina) Rose and Brent Rose, Corey Hochstetler, Ryan, Jordan, and Paige McMullin, Preston, Jared, and Riley Clark; great-grandchildren Haylee, Scarlett, and Jaxon Rose, Quinn Clark, Sam and Nora Burge; brother Ralph Rose of Waterford, MI; sisters Alma (Curtis) Swiney of Ashcamp, KY, Lois (Willie) Jones of Barberton, Julia "Gerene" Adams of Bowling Green, KY; sisters-in-law Patty Rose of Elkhorn City, KY, Frances Rose of Flatwoods, KY and his two lifelong friends John (Virginia) Phipps and Roy (Donna) Phipps both of Marshallville, OH.
Foster was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Blake and Emza Rose and brother-in-law Kermie Adams.
