Francis Sparr

Francis C. Sparr, 87, of Wooster, died Wednesday January 26, 2022 at Smithville Western Care Center.

Private family services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Francis was born June 15, 1934 in Wooster to Kenneth and Doris {Varnes} Sparr.

Francis proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He married Edith Carr on May 25, 1958. She passed on September 30, 2008.

Francis retired from Akron Brass. He was a member of Shreve United Methodist Church. Francis loved fishing, family get-togethers, and long weekend drives.

Francis will be deeply missed by his children Gary (Kathleen) of Wooster, Larry (Christy) of Ashland, and Diana of Akron; grandchildren Mike, Nikki, Brittany, Savannah Sparr, and Crystal Mechling; great-grandchildren James, Freya, and Carmen; brothers Clarence (Jane) Sparr, Merle Sparr

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother William, and granddaughter Erin Sparr.
