G. Robert Fockler, 83, of Wooster, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Brookdale Barberton.
There will be a private service for the family held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
Robert was born March 16, 1932 in Altoona, PA to George and Marian {Bartley} Fockler.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1950. Robert served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1952.
He married Donna Rothrock on December 27, 1952.
Robert worked in sales at GE before retiring in 2000. He loved to work with model trains. Robert had a great love of animals and leaves behind his cat Little One.
Robert will be deeply missed by his children Mark (Edith) Fockler of Wooster, Vicki (Mark) Flower of Clinton, Gregg (Dick Stouffer) Fockler of Ft. Smith, AK; grandchildren Tanya (Jeff) Holcomb, Angela (Nick Coapstick) and Patrick Betts; great-grandchildren Tristin Betts, Quinn and Sage Coapstick.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife.
