Gale James (Jim) Medley, 80, died November 22, 2015, at The Legacy House, Ocala, Fla.
He was born on May 26, 1935 in Elba, Ohio to the late Albert and Zora Medley.
Jim graduated from Marietta High School in 1953.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon (Leonhart) Medley; a daughter, Mrs. David Guzzo (Debra), Columbus, Ohio; sons, Daniel Medley, Ocala, Fla., Scott Medley, Richmond, Ohio, Brian Medley, New Carlisle, Ohio and Jeff Medley, Ocala, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Gay Jane Seevers, Marietta, Ohio.
After his retirement from retail management Jim played softball in a senior league was a member of Lifetime Center, a volunteer from Prestige "55" and also worked at Publix Grocery Stores.
Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, Florida.
Inurnment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park
