Gary Rastetter

Gary Edward Rastetter, 77, of Wooster, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.

Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice at 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Gary was born June 19, 1942 in Wooster, Ohio to Dallas Chalmers and Grace Elizabeth {Snoddy} Rastetter.

Gary attended Wooster High School.

He married Darlene Frances Lampkin in March of 2004. She died August 14, 2011.

Gary worked for Diebold for 23 years and then Stahl before retiring in 2007. He enjoyed playing cards, riding his tractor around the farm, loved animals and spending time with his grandchildren.

Gary will be deeply missed by his children Lisa (Greg) Maynard of Wooster, Douglas Rastetter of Marysville; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jen, Austin, and Paige; sisters Beverly (Harley) Dawson of Wooster, Vicki (Daniel) Velt of Westerville, and Karen (Robert) Akins of Wooster; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, daughter Teresa, and brother Dana Lee Rastetter.
