Gay Seevers

Gay Jane Seevers, 83, of Marietta, Ohio went home to be with her loving Lord and Savior on May 5, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 26, 1935 in Elba, Ohio, a daughter of the late Albert Clarence and Zora Bell Luke Medley.

She was a graduate of Marietta High School class of 1953. She married the love of her life, James William Seevers, 64 years ago on December 25, 1954 in Marietta, Ohio.

In her younger years she worked at the C.L. Bailey Grocery Co. as a secretary. Jane was a devoted member at First Baptist Church. She loved her Lord by serving as a Sunday School teacher, active member of the Morning Glory Circle, VBS and many other activities. Some of her things she enjoyed in life were going to OCCL, bowling, football, westerns and camping. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed and loved by her loving husband James William Seevers; two daughters Tonya (Doug) McDonald and Teri (Russ) Delaney; four grandchildren Calleigh and Cody McDonald, Cassidy (Dewey) Miller and Lindsay (Pace) McIntire; three great grandchildren Hunter and Graci Miller, Lilliana McIntire; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by four brothers Dean, Billy, Nelson and her twin brother James; three sisters Louise, Fay and Carol. The family would like to thank the staff of Harmar Place and Comfort Keepers for all the loving care that was provided over the years.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 7th from 6 to 8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta. Additional calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM at First Baptist Church, 301 4th St., Marietta. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
