Gayle Berkey

Gayle Ruth Berkey, 92, of Wooster, died October 13, 2019 at the Wayne County Care Center, in Wooster.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gayle was born November 26, 1926 in Scottdale, PA to Austin and Katherine {Glaus} Cramer.

Gayle graduated from East Huntington High School in 1944.

She married Carl W. Berkey on June 4th, 1956. He died April 25, 2005.

She worked for Buckeye Mart and Wooster Sports Wear. She then retired and became a homemaker. She was a member of New Pittsburg United Methodist Church. Gayle loved to sew, crochet, read and spend time with her family.

Gayle will be deeply missed by her daughter Margie (Patrick) Maley of Wooster; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Gayle was preceded in death by her husband Carl, son Wayne, brothers Spurgeon, Daniel, Harold, sisters Marie and Jean.
