Gaylord M. Yoder, 91, of Wooster, died May 15, 2015 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, OH.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville, OH where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Valley University, 1 Campus View Dr., Vienna, WV 26105.
Gaylord was born July 26, 1923 in Homerville, OH to Milo Blair and Edith {Eschelman} Yoder.
Gaylord served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII where he fought for his country as a tail gunner.
He married Eula Oneacre on July 25, 1960.
He retired from National Latex after 42 years and then continued working at Buehler's. Gaylord was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed the great outdoors and traveling with his wife.
Gaylord will be deeply missed by his sister, Ardis Pinkley of Oberlin; great-niece and caretaker, Charlene Leimeister and her family; sister-in-law Nada Gordon of Seville and many nieces and nephews.
Gaylord was preceded in death by his wife Eula, his parents, and his sisters, LaVonne Miller and Fonda Pugh.
