George Campbell

George E. Campbell, 83, of Medina, passed on to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 6, 2019 at his home.

George was born November 13, 1935 in Greenbriar County, WV to George and Ruby {Nutter} Campbell.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years as a canine trainer and Military Police Officer.

He married Barbara Smith on March 16, 1958.

George was a co-owner of G.C. Construction. He was a charter member and a deacon at Triangle Baptist Church. George loved to serve God and his family, and also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.

George will be deeply missed by his wife; children Dale (Karen) Campbell, Cheryl (Robert) Adamson, Dave (Marie) Campbell, Sharon (Bruce) Smith, Charlotte Campbell; grandchildren Candace, Amanda, Tabatha, Bobby, Michael, Thomas, Nicholas, Jennifer, Autumn, Joshua, George, Elizabeth; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Eloise Meager; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel Campbell, brother Clyde Campbell, sister Anna Lee Starcher, great-grandchildren Faith and Hunter Adamson.

Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Triangle Baptist Church, with Pastor Bobby Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
