George Emerson Sark Sr., 72, of Wooster, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
George was born June 22, 1941 in Ashville, Ohio to George and Wavolene (Metz) Sark.
He married Alice Ann George on February 8, 1964. They were married for 43 years. She passed away in 2007.
George worked for Volvo-White, then for Sterilite, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
George will be deeply missed by children George Jr. (Beverly) Sark of Wooster, Robert (Janet) Sark of Plantation, FL, Donna (Theo) Shirey and Jaimie (Joey) Greenwald all of Wooster; grandchildren Michael Sark, Nicole (Dustin) Badertscher, La Tonya (Jon) Blazer, Matthew Sark and Jessica Shirey, Allie Greenwald; great-grandson Lucas George Blazer; Paul (Molly) Sark of Lancaster, and Mike Sark of Lancaster; sisters Linda Metcalf of Columbus and Ella Mae Strous of Circleville; sister-in-law Nancy Sark of London.
George was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, and brother Gary Sark.
