George Kenneth Spence

George Kenneth Spence, 88, of Hudson, died Monday, October 10, 2022 at UH Portage Medical Center, in Ravenna.

George was born November 22, 1933 in Wayne County, West Virginia.

He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958, where he drove a staff car in the states and overseas.

George married Norma Jean Beery on February 21, 1959. 

He worked for the Sinclair and Valentine printing ink company for 40 years.  He enjoyed coaching and watching his children in multiple sports, and driving his boat where he taught friends and family how to ski. His wife and he travelled in their RV across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.  He will be missed by his dog and best friend, Cody.

George will be deeply missed by his wife; son Ron (Misty) Spence of Ft Worth, TX, daughter Janet Hansen of Hudson; granddaughter Melissa Hansen.

Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
