Gerald Lee "Jerry" Adkins 65 of Portland Oregon passed away Oct. 21, 2013 in a Portland hospital after a short illness.
A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating.
Jerry was born May 15, 1948 in Creston OH to Ray and Dollie Mae (Williams) Adkins.
He attended Norwayne High School. Jerry has been a resident of Portland for 23 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 13 years and retired in 2013.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his daughter Angie; brothers and spouses, John & Nancy of Madison, IN, Ken Of Natchitoches, LA, Bruce of Apache Junction AZ, & Steve & Robin of Charleston, TN. Jerry will also be missed dearly by family and special friends of Portland, Connie Torgerson and Co-workers of the N.W.Priority Credit Union, Gary Bollinger of Rainier, OR., and Linda and Mark Slone who cared for him while he was sick.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray; mother Dollie M. (Williams); brother Bill; son, Tony and his daughter Carla.
