Gladys Huntsberger

Gladys Mae Huntsberger, 89, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at The Avenue of Wooster following a period of declining health.

Gladys was born September 8, 1931 in Dalton to Floyd W. and Florence M. {Keller} Saurer.

Gladys graduated from Dalton High School in 1949. She married Donovan J. Huntsberger on June 20, 1953. They resided in Kidron, Ohio until moving to Lakeland, Florida in 1974 where she worked at the Florida Presbyterian Homes for 20 years. They moved back to the Dalton area in 1999. Gladys enjoyed crocheting and quilting, donating many items for various organizations and individuals.

Gladys will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years; daughters Linda (Cary) Thach of Texas, Nancy (John Mark) Tyrrell of Dalton, and Karen (David) Hickman of Washington; son Gary (Bunni) Huntsberger of Dayton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister Faye M. Graham of Wooster.

Gladys was preceded in death by her infant brother, a grandson and a great-grandson.
