Glenn D Blubaugh

Glenn D. Blubaugh, 90, of Saint Cloud, Florida passed away on November 14, 2023.

He was born on November 18, 1932 to Francis and Agnes Blubaugh in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was a Veteran of the United States Air-Force and retired from American National Can Company in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son; Mark Blubaugh and his sisters; Mary Baker, Phyllis Arnold, Loretta Durbin and Ethel Blubaugh. Glenn is survived by his loving family; wife of 66 years Virginia Blubaugh of St. Cloud, Florida; daughters, Karen (Mitch Durbin) Blubaugh of Danville, Ohio, Gina (Joe) Blanchard of Mount Vernon, Ohio; son, Christopher Blubaugh of Danville, Ohio; sister, Ruth Blanchard of Mount Vernon, Ohio. He is also survived by granddaughters, Sara (Adam) Smith of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Ashley (Caleb) Syler of Mount Vernon, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Chloe Smith and great-grandsons, Leo Smith, Lukas Syler. 

Glenn's favorite pastimes included fishing, woodworking and tinkering in his shop.  His love for travel began when his children were young and spent summer vacations camping with Virginia and his family and friends.  He and Virginia spent their early retirement years traveling all around the US with friends and family before they settled in St. Cloud, Florida in their later years.  He greatly enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters as they grew up and treasured time spent with his great grandchildren. 

He is a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in St. Cloud, Florida.  Glenn will be laid to rest at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens following a funeral mass on December 29th at 10:00 am with calling hours at 9:00 am.  The funeral mass and calling hours will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
